Depression
Depression affects about 9.5% of the population every single year, and can seriously damage lives and relationships,
so it's no light issue. If you're reading this, you're probably depressed, or know someone who is. I was depressed
too, for about 6 months. I know that many people are depressed for longer than that, but I can honestly say that
those 6 months were the worst of my life. I did many things I regretted, including hurting family and friends, and
my boyfriend at the time. Life was hard for me, but it was also hard for those around me, as they really had no idea
what was going on in my head.
This page is dedicated to my good friend Bren. She was also depressed when I was (from September 2000 til April
2001), but she's still going through some pretty rough times. She supported me in many ways during my depression,
but the thing that touched me most was the way she let me into her thoughts, which let me see that I wasn't alone.
And with this page, I hope to compile stories I've gathered from people to let those who are depressed see that they
are not alone. With some support, you can make it through. I'm also hoping that this page also will serve as
something that friends and families of depressed people can go to to understand a bit about the thoughts of their
loved one.

I hope you found this site useful.
Please note that this site isn't based on any medical views, it is solely made from material I have gathered from
fellow sufferers, and my own experience of depression. I know that knowing there are people out there who feel the
same way is a relief, it's not like you're going crazy, it's like you're normal, but you need some help to be happy.
And face it, you deserve to be happy. I'm happy now, but it took some doing. I got there in the end, and you can
too.
Please feel free to email me and give me tips on how to improve
this section. Thanks, your help is appreciated.
